I get this question a lot. There’s always a moment when I have to decide if I’ll give the real answer, which inevitably involves more than I can easily explain in just a few minutes or some simple pay answer which doesn’t really answer the question at all.

I work with domain names. Sales, acquisition, monetization, consulting. I do not, typically, build websites. Well that’s not true. I built this one after all, but I don’t make my living building websites, I make my living by helping others build a name for themselves. That all starts with the right name.

My passion lies in a new project that I’m working on. INCUBATE. We’re a small group of wicked smart people bringing together ideas with great domain names to get innovative startups off the ground. My vocation revolves around building and managing a portfolio of domain names for one of the largest shared web hosting providers in the world.

Of course I’m more than what I do for a living and I’m getting pretty good at this whole work life balance. When I’m not working you can often find me in a random airport some place in the world. I’ll probably be reading.

Once upon a time I bought a camera and started taking photos. You can find some of those photos here on this site and you can find more over at Flickr.

What do you do?
